ONLY ANTI-GAY BULLYING IS BAD

So Rugby Union star Ben Cohen is touring the United States to promote his campaign against what he calls 'homophobic bullying'.  For those who don't know, that means insulting people by calling them names associated with homosexuality.

Depressingly, Cohen has started a charity called 'StandUp'. Apparently, two basketball players were fined in the US for the heinous crime of saying 'faggot'.

'Joakim Noah received a $50,000 (£30,400) penalty for directing the slur at a fan, while Kobe Bryant was fined $100,000 (£60,800) for a similar outburst in April,' says the BBC. (Same link as above.)

Mercifully, a Rugby World Cup winner has little currency in the US, so Cohen is reduced to speaking at rallies for American homosexuals. According to the BBC website, 'the married father of twins does have a profile in the American gay community.' Yuk.

What Ben Cohen, or for that matter anyone else on the homophobic bullying bandwagon, has failed to answer is why insults with a homosexual flavour are worse than calling people 'fatty' or 'ginger' or 'moron'. But I know the answer. It's because sodomy is politically-correct and fashionable.
